What does it take to become a successful Affiliate Marketer? What are the ingredients of an affiliate marketing success story? Is there a shortcut to Affiliate Marketing glory? All these questions play around in the minds of affiliate marketers who want to make it big in this business. Although affiliate marketing is touted as one of the easiest and most effective ways to earn money online, it is not as easy as it sounds. The wise affiliate marketer plans every action and executes it the best way he can. He should also maximize the potential to earn by utilizing the right tools necessary for a successful Affiliate Marketing business. We have consulted some of the most successful affiliate marketers in the business and below are the top three necessary tools for a successful affiliate marketing business.
Important Tool #1: Your Own Website
The most important and indispensable tool in Affiliate Marketing is your own website. The first step in any successful affiliate marketing business is building a good, credible and professional looking website. Your website is the jump off point of all your marketing efforts. Thus, you must first build a user-friendly website, which will appeal to your prospects and encourage them to click on the links to the products and service you are promoting and make a purchase. Therefore, you must first concentrate your efforts in building a website that will cater to what your prospects need.
The most important thing you should consider is that almost all web users go online to look for information, not necessarily to go and buy something. Above all else, make your website full of original, relevant and useful content. People will love articles that are appealing and helpful. Keep in mind that, in the internet, content is still king and good quality content will not only build your credibility, it can also help you achieve a higher search engine ranking. By posting relevant and useful articles, you establish yourself as a credible expert in the field, making you a more trustworthy endorser of the product or service you promote. Establishing a good reputation is a good step in building up a loyal consumer base.
Important Tool #2: Incentives
Competition is extremely tight in the internet world. You must always be one-step ahead of your rivals to ensure that you capture a significant share of your target market. Therefore, you must use every possible means to encourage people not only to visit your site but also to click and proceed to the websites of the products and services you are promoting. Building an opt-in email list is one of the best ways to gather prospects. Offer a newsletter or an e-zine. Better yet, offer incentives to your prospects to encourage them to subscribe to your newsletters. You can present free softwares, access to exclusive services and other freebies that will be helpful to your prospects.
Important Tool #3: Link Popularity
The importance of driving highly targeted traffic to your website cannot be emphasized enough. The all-important web traffic is at the top of the list of the most important entities in the internet world. Attracting people to your site should be the first step you should carry out. Do everything to achieve a high search engine ranking. Link Popularity is one of the factors that search engines use to determine search engine rankings. Therefore, to enhance your link popularity, you must launch an aggressive reciprocal link campaign.
One of the best ways to do this – at no cost at all – is by submitting articles, with your website's link at the resource box, to e-zines and free article sites. You will not only gain exposure, you will also have the opportunity to advertise for free, just include a link back to your site. The more sites you submit your articles to, the better your link popularity is. Make your articles original, relevant and useful so that more websites will pick it up and post it.
These are but three of the many tools that an affiliate marketer can use to maximize earning potential. The possibilities are endless and are limited only by your imagination, creativity, resourcefulness and determination. You can always explore other ideas and adapt other strategies, which you think might help you become a high rolling affiliate marketer.
To Your Success,
Rich Dabney

Network Marketing Offers Home Based Business Opportunities
Persons looking for another line of work or just the chance to earn some supplemental income may want to consider network marketing as a home based business. While there are many new scam programs on the internet every day, there are also some quality opportunities to earn extra money. Remember there is a difference between home based businesses and work at home businesses, but most will require some customer contact to make it work for you.
Before the internet, there were many home based businesses geared towards people who wanted to earn extra money but needed a flexible schedule, allowing them to continue working their full-time job or work around the schedules of other family members. Jewelry and makeup sales as well as home products were available as a home-based business as the participants went to others’ homes to peddle their wares. Many trade people had an office in their home but worked in the homes of others.
For the people holding so-called parties in other people’s homes, they were deeply involved in network marketing, adding people to their network every time they performed a demonstration. Whether the other attendees at the party actually made a purchase was not as important as them learning more about the products being sold and having the seed planted to host their own party.
The incentive to the customer was free merchandise. Usually depending on the amount of the total sales at the party, the hostess received free merchandise. The business owner could then talk to others about earning free merchandise, or better yet, buying everything at wholesale if they became an authorized distributor, working under you. You offered to train them and help them with their first few parties, offering to split the commission with them and once they developed their own network you could also receive a small commission on their sales.
Many of these party-plan programs ran successfully and unencumbered for many years with some still going strong today. While there were not called multilevel marketing companies at that time that is exactly what they were. Today, many of those same people shy away from the term MLM because they see it as an illegal method of making money. While they say they should not have to pay to do their job, these same people bought their own demonstration kits as well as “prizes” to hand out to those at the parties.
There really is no difference in this type of home-based network marketing than those being offered today. It is the reputation some companies have transferred to legitimate business offers that have formed a negative view that hinders participation and growth. It may only taken a year or two for this negativity to overshadow the benefits of a home-based network marketing program, but it will takes years for legitimate businesses to climb out from the shadow.
When talking to friends about a new network marketing program the wrong approach is often taken. Instead of talking about how you plan to be rich in a few years by working this multilevel marketing program and they should get in on it as well, talk to them about how the product is working for you. In time they will want to sign up if, for no other reason, that being able to buy the product at wholesale.

Why Do Prospects Keep Rejecting Me?
Have you spent year's on the phone with prospects who either rejected you or were too crazy to even be considered working with?
Myself, I didn't get it. I thought if I just kept calling them that sooner or later the RIGHT one's would join with me.
WRONG!!!
Nothing happened until I started finding the right prospects. Don't waste you're time on prospects that are not worth your time, instead spend your time finding the ones who are.

Why, They Never Bring Up The Revolving Door . . .
You're excited, you just joined a business you feel a strong connection to, you call your sponsor and you're ready to hit the ground running. So, you ask. What should I do first? In most cases what your going to hear from your sponsor is go to “abc leads” and pick up some leads. “Just pick the package that works best for your budget”.
So, here you are new to this business and you’re a real go getter and your going right to the top. You tell yourself, the most lead I can call through the faster my star will rise to the top. You desperately want the lifestyle or the win the free car promotion your company is running. Your thinking to yourself, “all I have to do is just get a few”, and your network marketing dreams will come true.
So with you get the mega lead package. Of course when you tell your sponsor, they praise your and wish you the best of luck. Your sponsor provides you’re with your teams powerful, easy to write script that has a “3% conversion ratio”. You think to yourself, this will be a piece of cake, meanwhile doing the math in your head about your uncollected sign ups and commissions.
You have just taken the bait and are already trapped. That said, let’s continue. With leads in hand you pick up the phone and commit to call at least 25-30 people each day. The first day go a little something like this... 12 disconnections, 10 answering machines, 1 claim’s to have not requested any information and 2 seem to be interested. You so excited that you shared your opportunity to with two callers and directed them to your website and setup follow up calls for the next day.
The very next day you’re optimistic that you’re going to close at once one of the two prospects you spoke with the day before. Today you actually get more folks that actually remember requesting information, 3 more that your share your opportunity with, but you get at least 10 people that blast you out of the water for disrupting their quiet family time with your “pills and potions pushing”. Just a little hurt, you say to yourself that your tough and a few nasty comments are not going to stand in your way.
Be this time, it’s time for your follow-up calls. And guess what? They are a no show. You say that’s OK because you have two more to three more the next day.
Fast forward a month and you've hammered through your leads. You got your script down pat, and have a few more promising follow up calls that never pan out. You say I guess this is a little harder than I thought. You buy your next month of leads and do it all over again with the same results.
Again, you buy another month worth of leads and do it all over again with the same results.By this time you seek advise from your sponsor as to what your doing wrong, he or she gets on the phone with your and a few calls and tells your you’re doing everything right and it’s just a matter of time before get your first sign-up or commission. With the backing and confidant's from your sponsor your get back on your horse and get started on you’re next months worth of leads.
By this time you start to question ask yourself this question? “When I do get someone sponsored are they going to spend over $2,000 to get this opportunity off the ground?
Your mind says . . . "No way!"You start to get suspicious of how all this duplication stuff works, but you keep going. Two months later you're $3000 in the whole and you cut it off. You think to yourself, “Why didn’t it work?”Well, you see it does work, but just not for you as the newbie. And here why... on a larger scale your up line leaders business does grow following this model, because they have 100’s of folks like you and me out there calling thousands of people at our expense, basically to see if we can get someone to sick and start the process all over again.
Based on the laws of large numbers this theory will work. That’s why the people at the top consistently make money checks with commas and the folks on the bottom barely get by or lose.
A recent survey of the largest network marketing companies showed that nearly 45% of total commissions were on average distributed to less than 1% of all reps within the company.
So how do you make sure your business has a chance?

Four Facts Every New Network Marketer Must Know
Success in any internet marketing adventure is not necessarily dependant on the tried and true characteristics that have marred the image of the industry. Pushiness and ruthless networking are actually not the hallmarks of network marketing that its detractors would have you believe they are. Instead, there are facets and aspects to successful MLM that are usually not addressed by those who might only have a cursory understanding of the industry.
As a matter of fact, there are four facts every new network marketer must know.1. Success or failure depends on the product you will be representing. Interestingly, there is no amount of book knowledge that will make up for hands on sales experience that can give you that innate sense of experience which will lead you to the product that is going to be a crowd pleaser for many months or years to come, and the explosively marketed fad that will be around for a holiday season and then thereafter become all but forgotten. While studying market trends and consumer behavior on paper will help, only actual sales experience will provide the familiarity with the way consumers think through purchases that can lead you to choose a MLM product which will be around for the long.2. Never choose a product that is only replaced on a limited basis. As odd as it may sound, stay away from items carrying lifetime guarantees. Consumers love them, but if you consider that the average well made Sears tool will not break no matter how badly you treat it, you can quickly see how there is only a limited amount of repeat business that you will enjoy. In MLM this might refer to exercise equipment or high end merchandise that is too expensive to purchase twice. 3. Pick your MLM Company with care. Forego the hype and instead invest some time in solid research. If the company has been around for a while, you will have a no-nonsense opportunity to chart the beginning of the company and also its growth. Stay away from companies that are in the decline. Similarly, and perhaps this may appear odd, stay away from companies that are experiencing an unprecedented spike of growth. This is just as detrimental to a MLM business as decline because the exiting network rarely is able to compensate for the spike in demand. 4. Last but not least, profit from the experience of the other network marketers. This kind of information may be found online at forums dedicated to marketers who want to share their experiences. Learn from these individuals and understand their reasoning. While they may be incorrect, it pays to understand how they may have made an erroneous decision as this will train you to not follow in their footsteps.
Even as those four facts every new network marketer must know appear to make a lot of common sense, they also showcase that there is a lot more to successful MLM than just selling and setting up a down line. Meticulous planning, learning from the experiences of others, and also continuously educating yourself about market changes and consumer behavior are vital components in the quest for profitability and overall business success.

Feeling Overwhelmed?
By: Bob Keefe
Have you've ever felt like success has been out of your reach because you're completely overwhelmed? I have found that when people struggle to create their first biz it's because they are confused and,
A confused mind does nothing!
That just might be the single most important sentence you'll ever read. I suggest you read it again. In fact, you might want to write it down and tape it to your computer so you see it all the time. One of the biggest problems we face in getting starting is controlling the "overwhelm" of too much info and not having a clear cut game plan that works for you.
I honestly believe that most Guru's think the majority of their subscriber's are just plain lazy because they never get started...I completely disagree 100%, with that, in fact I've observed just the opposite. In fact most people are actually working much harder than they actallly need to!
It's like you are racing at a 100 miles an hour... only to discover that you are stuck going around and around on a race track in never-ending circles instead of going down the road that will take you where you want to go.
Take that same energy and stop running in circles and you'll be shocked how quick and easily you can make your every dream become a reality.
If you feel like you've been too busy "chasing your tail" it's not necessarily your fault. Internet marketing can be a daunting task to the beginner. Running your own home based business is not for the faint at heart. You just need a little clarity, direction and focus and I think you'll find the success you want is actually closer than you imagined.
Remember "a confused mind does nothing?" Take a second and really give that some thought. I'll bet you'll realize that it has shown up in your life more than once. It's all about having a simple and clear cut game plan, broken down in simple step-by-step pieces. Anyone can learn to do anything if the steps are clear and small enough so you can crawl before you are expected to walk or run.
In business I find that people tend to set their first goals on things that are too far away from their current situation and because of that they start out behind the 8-Ball and are completely overwhelmed before they ever get going.
It's essential to get a taste of success as quickly as possible. A SMALL taste is all it takes. Set your sights on one small piece of the puzzle at a time. Complete that one task before even thinking about what's next. The internet is so full of distractions that anyone can lose their focus. Don't let that happen to you!
Focusing on a small obtainable goal that you believe is possible keeps you from getting too overwhelmed. Having a very clear cut blueprint to follow so you can actually get to that small goal fast is very important.
That being said here is my advice to anyone wanting to succeed in internet marketing and/or starting a home based business. first, have your end result clearly defined (this will be done in the goal setting process.) Second, pick one task at a time, outline it and do it. Don't allow distractions to get in the way. Start with something small and atainable and complete it.
This simple series of baby steps, when applied to each step along the way, will get you moving in the right direction and help keep you focused on the light at the end of the tunnel, making money online.
